Aircraft model F-35B Lightning II
The F-35 Lightning II is a 5th generation stealth fighter developed by Lockheed Martin for the US armed forces and some of their allies.
There are three versions: conventional F-35A fighter, F-35B STOVL (short take-off and vertical landing) and the F-35C onboard fighter.
The F-35B has many peculiarities including its F135-PW-600 engine with a nozzle tilting system that allows it to point backwards
and down.
A lift fan connected to the engine by a shaft increases the vertical thrust.
